Type the letters you know in their positions, add letters the word must contain, and leave out the ones it can't have. The list updates as you type. It searches 152,309 words of 3 to 12 letters from the ENABLE word list.

This is a pattern filter for English words. It does not apply Wordle's colour rules, such as a yellow letter being ruled out of one position. Words come from the ENABLE list; see how the lists are made.

Five-letter words by letter pattern: first or last letter, second letter, and second plus third letters.
How the finder works
- Letters in known positions: the word must have that letter in that box.
- Must contain: the word must include each letter somewhere. Type a letter twice to require two of it.
- Exclude letters: the word must not contain these letters. If you exclude a letter you also required, the finder ignores it and tells you.
- Common words only keeps words from SCOWL size 50 or below. Hide plurals & verb forms removes words like “cards” and “baked”.
The finder matches letter patterns. It does not apply the colour rules of games such as Wordle, and being listed does not mean a word is accepted by any particular game.
